1. Procedure to wash the eyes with warm ginger soup:
① Prepare a small cup with a rim that can fit the eye socket or an eyewash cup. (Swimming goggles can also be used.)
② Fill the small cup or eyewash cup with warm ginger soup; it is advisable that the patient nds the temperature and concentration of the ginger soup acceptable.
③ Lower the head slightly, place the small cup closely around the eye, and close the eye. Once the cup is tightly attached, raise the head.
④ Blink several times to fully soak the eyeball with the warm ginger soup
⑤ Aer washing, if you need to wash the other eye, you must ll the cup with a new batch of warm ginger soup.
⑥ Upon completion, lower the head and remove the cup. Wipe clean the ginger soup droplets on the eyelids with a towel.
2. Procedure to spray ginger powder into the nasal cavity, oral cavity, or vagina:
2.1 Materials preparation:
① Ginger powder
② Powder spray bottle, available in general medical equipment stores
2.2 Operational steps: (Patients can perform this task themselves or ask a family member for assistance)
① Put the ginger powder into the powder spray bottle.
② Aim the nozzle of the powder spray bottle to the nasal cavity, oral cavity, or vagina.
③ Squeeze the powder spray bottle with your fingers to spray ginger powder into the nasal cavity, oral cavity, or vagina.
④ For the sake of caution, start with spraying just a trace amount, and then consider increasing the amount aer adapting.
